Last Night I Laughed

I did. It was the ab- strengthening kind. It was the kind that explodes and stops and, upon looking at one another, begins again. It was the kind that only happens when high school girls are involved. I am so thankful to have high school girls in my life! And with my family consisting of males only , it was a rare treat.
The thing that got us going was me and a really stupid thing I had said. For that reason alone, it was all the more funny because I love to laugh at myself. I can be very comical... sometimes without meaning to be.
One of my New Year's resolutions is to laugh at least once every day. Last night I laughed a whole week's quota.

  1. Dear Hillcrest,
You commented on "My Awesome Olive Shoots," and I presume you meant your comment for her. I am Sharon, she is Cindy. I actually found her blog through a West Point connection, too, though. My husband is a 1993 graduate of USMA ... yes, he made it (we met about 3 months after he graduated). :-) I trust that your son is doing well - as the end of plebe year grows closer, it should only get better! Anyway, just wanted to say hi and let you know Cindy's name. Blessings~ Sharon

  2. Thanks for your comment on my blog! It is always encouraging to find others who really know the meaning of "living by faith!" Is your friend still with the organization but no longer in PNG? I am, actually, not familiar with that org. Well, thanks for encouraging us! Things are overwhelming at times, but we know that God's hand is large, and his resources innumerable. We are trusting Him in all things. He's never let us down. :-)

  3. I love to laugh and think I am a pretty funny gal! My kids always say that I laugh at my own jokes. I say, if I don't, who will? I'm sure if you tried to explain the joke on your blog, it wouldn't be funny but I'm glad you had one of those moments. They are a special treat!
